  1. I like your podcasts, but I find them too long. It would be much more convenient, and make for better listening to edit out a lot of the fluff. This interview has some good nuggets, but also a lot of fluff about nursery, watching football, and things any of your listeners could have guessed without even listening to the podcast. Do your listeners want to know the mundane details of this guy’s life? Or did we tune in to find out what we can learn from him?

I don’t want to sound too harsh – as I said, the podcasts are good – they are just too long to make them a part of my schedule at the moment. I reckon 35 mins is an absolute maximum for people who are going to be regular listeners, unless they are long-term hospital dwellers or something.

    1. Thank you for taking the time to comment. The podcasts that we generally listen to are around 60 minutes long. But we appreciate a good proportion of our audience have a preference for shorter bursts. We are taking this on board. Expect more concise content in the future.

Finding a balance between what people already know and what is new to them is a constant challenge. As is creating an interest in the speaker over gaining too much “fluff”. We’d like to think that our judgement in this respect will improve. And feedback is one of the best ways for us to make these calls, so thanks again.
